Free To Be features articles on personal and international freedoms, including family travel, global community and conscious living.
I’m Vicky, author of the Free To Be blog, a 30-something work-at-home mum living on the beautiful south-west coast of England.
I live with my son (FreeToBeP, aged 9) and my daughters (FreeToBeZ, aged 5, and FreeToBeL, aged 2). I’m currently engrossed in home educating my children with an emphasis on ‘worldschooling’. We often spend time in Morocco with my daughters’ Moroccan father.
The Free To Be blog is one of the stepping stones to my true purpose – working as a Freedom Lifestyle Consultant to inspire others to take control of their lives and follow their deepest desires.
It has taken me many years and forays into numerous occupations to get here! A typical Geminian (interested in everything and expert in nothing), I have, however, always considered myself to be a writer, humanitarian and spiritual seeker.
The most important work of my life so far has been raising my children. It may be a cliché, but they are indeed my greatest teachers, unearthing a depth of both love and fear that I never before knew, and teaching me the skill of finding peace amongst the chaos in a way no amount of meditation could show me.
Through Free To Be, I hope to share with you the joys, challenges and lessons I’ve enjoyed and endured over my last few years as a travelling single mum, and my reflections on many related topics.
Whether you want some amusing anecdotes or some practical tips about raising a world-wise family, I hope Free To Be can provide you with the entertainment or information you seek.
